Timber windows
Wood is a material that is timeless. Historically used due to its availability and simplicity of wood structures, today it is synonymous as a responsible choice and investment in quality. Thanks to the technology support, it is a modern raw material for the 21st century. Why wooden windows for sale becoming more and more popular?
Wood has been at the forefront of interior trends for several seasons and there is no sign that this will change. It is a solution for many years, not subject to the whims of fashion and changing trends. The versatility of this raw material is therefore unquestionable.
Wooden windows
Depending on the chosen model and colour version, prices of wooden windows differ. The cheapest material, available at Belfort Distribution, is combined pine and solid pine. What is the difference between them? In combination pine, elements without natural defects are cut from solid wood. They are then lapped together using so-called micro-dovetails to maintain uniformity. Wooden windows manufactured with this connection are characterised by high structural strength. However, the connection points may be of lesser aesthetic value, which is why they are usually painted with opaque paints. Solid pine, however, is obtained from larger amounts of wood, as there are no joints in the length. The material is selected to obtain the longest possible batches of wood free from natural defects. Solid pine is ideal for wooden windows finished with transparent coatings. Combined pine and solid pine are cheap wooden windows.
Slightly more expensive than them are windows made of meranti wood. They are very durable - only oak windows can compete with them in this aspect. They are characterised by low water permeability, therefore they rarely swell or crack. Meranti wood is an exotic wood. It is difficult to define its colour - it can be either red-brown or grey-pink. Just like pine wood, it absorbs paint and varnish very well.
Oak wooden windows come next in terms of price. Due to the hardness of the raw material, they are extremely durable and resistant to mechanical damage. Oak wood surpasses the quality of most European wood types, therefore oak wooden windows are usually more expensive than other wooden windows. The colour of oak wood varies from yellow-brown to brown.
Larch wooden windows are the most expensive option available from Belfort Distribution. Larch wood is rich in resin, which results in its durability - it is the most durable softwood type. It has a reddish colour, but be aware that it will darken over time.
